Adding Example Photos to a List

Example photos give members a way to demonstrate to their users what types of photos the company wants taken through the Truepic Vision app. This benefits both the company, as it increases the likelihood that the photos received are helpful for business decisions, as well as the end user, who receives knowledge to streamline their use of the app. Please note: example photos are only available for inspections that use the Truepic Vision app; they are not supported for web app use.

Adding Example Photos

There are 2 ways to add example photos; you can either apply the example photos to a general existing list, so that the example photos are shown for any inspection using that list, or on a case by case basis.

Adding an Example Photo to an Overall List

1. Go to the Vision Dashboard at vision.truepic.com

2. Click on the Settings (gear) icon in the lefthand sidebar.

3. Click on Lists (under Manage Inspections), find the list you want to alter, and click on it. Example photos can only be added to "Photo" type list items, so ensure your list item is a photo type.

4. Click on the toggle icon to the right of the list item, and select "Add Example Photo"

5. Upload the photo you want to use as an example photo. Please note: only 1 example photo per list item can be used.

6.  Hit Save, then ensure you click Save Changes on the list.

Adding an Example Photo to a List Item on a Specific Inspection

1. Go to the inspection editor, either by creating a new Inspection or by going to an existing inspection and clicking the three dots and then Request More... button at the top right.

2. Click on the List section, then open the Manage List editor.

3. On a Photo list item, click the toggle icon to the right of the list item, and select Add Example Photo.

3. Upload the desired example photo, and click Save. Please note: only 1 example photo per list item can be used, so if an example photo is already there, the existing one will have to be deleted before adding a new one.

4. Send the Inspection as normal.

What Example Photos Look Like for End Users

When an end user clicks on a list item in the Truepic Vision app that has an example photo, a small icon appears at the top lefthand corner of their screen:

Clicking this icon will bring up the Example Photo for the user, so they can see it. Users can close the Example Photo by clicking on the X in the top lefthand corner of the Example Photo window.
