You can edit a List while creating a New Request.  An interactive guide and step by step are both available to demonstrate this.

Interactive Guide

Step by Step:

The list for a specific inspection can be edited during the inspection creation process. Click on the Create New Inspection button in the Dashboard, and select the Team and Type of inspection you need to create.

In the right pane, you will see "List". Below that, you may see a few things:

-If there is a list for that type of inspection but it is optional, you will see "Include List with this request" and a toggle switch set to On (blue) or Off (grey).

-If there is a list for that type of inspection but it is not optional, it will show as On.

-If the list is not editable for that type of inspection, you will see "List is locked for this inspection." (shown below)

If the list is editable, click on Manage List.

Editing Question Types and Question Options

Choose what type of list item you want:

  • Photo allows still images to be taken for that question.
  • Photo or Video allows either still images or videos to be taken for that question.
  • Question allows an open-ended answer to be provided for that question.
  • Multiple Choice allows a specific given answer or answers to be chosen for that question.
  • Video allows a video to be taken for that question.

Click on question options, to the right of the question you want to edit. Please note that the following changes are available for you to make:

  • Quick Add allows you to add another question by clicking it or pressing Enter.
  • Add Object Detection (beta) allows for detection on a photo for Appliances, Automotive (Odometer, VIN, etc), Jewelry, and Real Estate Risks.
  • Add Content Analysis allows for recognition of VIN, Odometer, and Text Matching from an input set of strings.
  • Add Limit sets a maximum number of photos or videos that can be added for that specific question.
  • Make Required sets the question as mandatory to answer before the inspection can be submitted. These are marked with an asterisk (*) at the end of the question in the end user's app.
  • Allow Image Uploads permits end users to upload non-Truepic images for that question.
  • Add Example Photo allows you to upload a JPG or PNG file that will show as an example for that item for the end user in their app when accessing that question.
  • Make Copy duplicates the specified question.
  • Delete removes the selected question

If you need to add a new question, you can hit the Enter key or click on New Item at the top of the screen.

Type the question or name of what you want photographed in the new list item. In this example, we are asking for a photo of under cabinet lights.

Sorting or Ordering Questions

If you want to sort questions into categories or sections like rooms, click on New Group to create a group of items. Make sure to give your new group a descriptive name so the end user understands what that section of questions relates to in the inspection.

You can click and drag questions around using the handle to the left of the question if you need to reorder them in the list.

Setting up a Multiple Choice Question

To set up a multiple choice question, select Multiple Choice as the question type.

Type the question, for instance: "Is there a washer/dryer adjacent to the kitchen?"Click on Answer Options to the right of the question.

Enter the answers you want to allow the user to choose from in the question.  Note there is an option at the top to allow (green) or prevent (grey) users to select more than one choice.

If you want to add conditional questions to these answer options, you will need to edit the master list in Dashboard Settings > Lists.
