Every image is approximately 3-5mb depending on the device they are using.  Newer devices take higher quality, and therefore larger photos.

Every second of video equates to approximately 2mb, so a 10 second video will be about 20mb, and a full 30 second video will be about 60mb.

Every image is approximately 3-7mb depending on the device they are using.  Newer devices take higher quality, and therefore larger photos.

Every second of video equates to approximately 2.5-3mb, so a 10 second video will be about 25-30mb, and a full 30 second video will be about 75-90mb.

As a result of these large sizes, we strongly advise customers to use a WiFi connection if possible, especially if they will be capturing videos in addition to photos.

A WiFi connection is even more important for SII users who are capturing and uploading a large volume of photos and videos, due to them completing multiple inspections.

How much storage do we use on a customer’s phone?

The answer is heavily dependent upon the number of photos they capture.  Without any photos, we only take up the storage needed to download the app (see sizes above).  In addition, once photos or videos are captured, we temporarily take up the storage required to save each of those photos (see sizes above).  However, once the customer logs out, begins a new inspection, or deletes the app, those images are removed and that storage is immediately freed up.
