How to Cancel a Request

Note: Once a Request is closed, there is no way within the system to reopen it. Review our article here for more information: Can I Reopen a Closed/Canceled Request? 



You can only cancel a Request that is in "Created" or "Started" Status. 


Once the status of the request has changed to "In Progress", meaning the User is actively taking photos/video, the Cancel option will change to Close.

New Experience

From the Inspection Actions menu, click the Inspection dropdown, then select the Cancel Request button:


A pop-up warning and second confirmation will appear to ensure you are ready to cancel the Request. Select Cancel Request and the status of the Request will change to Cancelled.



Old Experience

From the Inspection Details page, select the Cancel Request button


A screenshot of the Inspection Details screen is shown for a Created inspection. Up at the top right, there is a grey Cancel Request button that is outlined in red.


A pop-up warning and second confirmation will appear to ensure you are ready to cancel the Request. Select Cancel Request and the status of the Request will change to Cancelled.







Reopening a Cancelled Request

You have the option to Reopen the Request and Resend the initial message to the same user or a new one after selecting Reopen


A screenshot of the Send Original Message screen is shown. There are fields for adding or editing a mobile number or email, as well as check boxes for sending the alert via text or email. On the right pane, there are options for editing or viewing the list of questions, as well as sending a custom message to the user.
